    Yes. You can still claim. You'll have to change any details in a template letter that refer to a bank though.

    Thank you for your reply. Technically GMAC are not a bank, do you think I can still claim?

    Yes, you can put in a claim for any unreasonable charges. First step is to calculate how much you've been charged and then write to the bank asking for a refund and explaining that you feel the charges were unreasonable. The next step, if the bank doesn't offer anything, is to take the matter before a court.

    Template letters are available. Some sites charge a fee for these but BBC (and I'm sure other sites) don't charge.

    Bank charges etc

    Could someone advise me if it is still possible to claim back bank charges? Also I have incurred a lot of mortgage charges within the last six years, is it possible to claim these back also (mortgage paid off)? I haven't got a clue where to start (letters etc) any help would be greatly appreciated.
