Specifically the M&S card is HSBC, not Halifax/Bank of Scotland, so an option for you after all.

The problem is that M&S comes under the banner of Bank of Scotland cards, as do many others, like the Halifax, Sainsburys and others. So many cards refuse transfers from the same financial group. But you don't find that out until the last page of the application. So I was wondering if people knew of cards which are not affiliated to bank of Scotland which are doing good transfer offers.

Strange problem. Most cards will accept a balance transfer from another card. The M&S card offers balance transfers.

If you have found a problem there is probably another reason.
