    I have worse credit than you and I got one with vanquish - maybe its a problem with your income?

    Hello - I have bad but improving credit at the moment and have taken much advice from on here...eg I have managed to open a Halifax Easycash account to get a debit card etc etc.

    I need a credit card and could easily afford it but it was Capital One I defaulted on about 5 years ago and they wont do it.  I have also tried Vanquis and they also say No.

     Has anyone managed to get one with previous bad credit (no ccjs - just defaults - all satisfied too).

    any help would be much appreciated!!
