I would have to completely agree with you! AXA have caused us nothing but problems. Their mendacious advertising means that they are using every excuse under the sun not to fill a claim. At the moment, they are saying that the comprehensive contents policy we have with them does not cover 'moveable items' - this basically means anything in your house that you can lift!
We have been trying to sort out a claim on a laptop and peripherals that were dropped by accident while in the bag. Their response is that it couldn't possibly have broken if it was in the bag... This claim was originally placed in January!
I would warn all potential customers to avoid them like the plague, and to make sure that they are not the underwriters for a smaller or more obscure company.
