Note her return from holiday post. Boot full of booze and lots of ironing.

Either she is completely sozzled and is drying out at the nearest clinic or the ironing mountain has collapsed and a search party is trying to dig her out................................

LOL. All my kids are stunning and fortunately they aren't following me:)

Candy was taking a spinning class, she is an instructor there, and the queen said that "it looks very tiring". To which Candy replied "yeah, I'm sweating"!!..Not good !!!!:(

Well my middle daughter actually spoke to HM when she opened the new Leisure Center in Swansea a few weeks ago. We also used to live across a field where the royal chopper would land when visiting, and my two girls when they were about 8 or 9 went running over and badgered Charlie Boy:) A picture of my Candy but she's hiding her face :(

Re: Au revoir for a couple of weeks

Unfortunately No. I was sat within good spiting distance from her (not that i attempted to actually spit at her).

She looked lovely all dressed in Red. I took my Mum with me and she pointed out that her tights didn't go with the outfit!!

That was before we'd had anything to drink!!!

My lovely boys and girls looked very smart too. I was surrounded by them at lunch. My place setting had my work title rather than "mrs" and the lad who sat next to me had panicked when he looked at the seating plan because he thought he was going to be sat next to a "NUN". I volunteered to hear his confession but he wasn't keen.

Re: Au revoir for a couple of weeks

    Hi DD

    Thanks for the welcome home.

I thought it had been quiet. Nothing much happening on my favourite fluffy 'Anything and Everything' section. Not much from RED's department either. Shall I rattle his cage - or shall we just leave him sleeping? lol.

I noticed that Lili has finally exchanged - thank goodness. Scampi fries all round. I think I'd need something far stronger - like a few magnums of champagne. This house buying malarky is a real pain. I love a happy ending. Congrats to Lili and a big pat on the back for Ian.

Shame about our NR friends. Hopefully they'll be back on here soon to tell us how they all are.

As for yourself ..... too much wine and lunch with the Queen. Hope you haven't been getting Old Queenie sozzled!!! Did she divulge any secrets? ;o)

Re: Au revoir for a couple of weeks

    Hi Indi

    Great to have you back.

Has been fairly quiet while you've been away. Our "red" friend has been very quiet. Thats because you haven't been around to wind him up!!! lol

Lili has finally exchanged on her house, although the end turned out to be as stressful for her as the beginning.

    See what happens next....

I've been busy...had lunch with the Queen today!! no kidding...

Sorry no help with driers. In fact ours trips the main when I use it, especially for long periods. I try not to but I know what its like when you come back from hols..

Looking forward to more chats soon.

Oh by the way our NR lot have had their notices, in fact they have been very quiet this last week, not sure where they are

Re: Au revoir for a couple of weeks

    RED ARMY:

dont forget to check your boot on the way back

wouldnt want you getting a 2k fine for unwittingly bringing a stowaway into the uk!!

Fat chance a stowaway would have of getting into my boot!!! Packed to the brim it was - nothing at all to do with the bottles of French wine I brought back!!! ;o)

Well - hello all. I'm back, drowning under a sea of washing!!! Yuk!!! How is everyone? It seems to have been fairly quiet on here - or have I just not gone back far enough?

I don't have that much time on my hands actually and definitely shouldn't be on here. You know how it goes - you get back, early hours of the morning, mountain of post (mainly bills), pile of washing, tired kids, grumpy husband and personally suffering from extreme exhaustion due to energetic daily skiing, late nights, early mornings and copious wine.

Anyone any good with clothes driers? Mine has decided to let me down - just when I need it sooooo badly. It was working fine before we went on holiday and when I turn it on now - it trips the electricity out! Any suggestions? My clothes dryer is situtuated in the garage. The garages are integral and I'm wondering if, whether, because I turned the heating off when we were away, the dryer electrics may have become damp and as the garage begins to warm, the dryer may dry out and start to work again. Or is this just wishful thinking?

Good to be back ....... I think.
