    Re: Asthma

    Hi

I have been travelling with a friend who has asthma.  She listed it as a pre existing condition.  She then had to list how many days in hospital, current drug therapy and stability.  The insurance company also gave her a form to take to her GP to confirm those details.

Up the top of the page there is a reddish coloured tab that says insurance.  Click on it, then click on travel insurance.  There is a section on people with pre existing conditions.  Ring them (if you have time before you travel) and get quotes, and see what they cover and how much.

Also think about where you are going and your own triggers - there is no point travelling to an area that more likely than not trigger an asthma attack.  Even if the insurance covered repatriation, the stress won't make it worthwile.

    Happy travels
