Re: Anyone with £15,000+ Unsecured Debts with Poor Credit Rating?

I looked in yellow pages and found a licenced insolvency practioner (nancollasgreer). They spent an hour with me going through all the options and they didn't charge me a penny! they made some suggestions and some example letters that i have followed and i think that i am back on track with my debts. They told me that insolvency practitioners are qualified and regulated - unlike debt counsellors. It's great to feel in control again and to be able to sleep

Also check this out before you speak to CCCS:

Re: Anyone with £15,000+ Unsecured Debts with Poor Credit Rating?

Happy to talk to you - or anyone going through this terrible stuff - there is light at the end of the tunnel, don't lose heart. There are many debt advice organisations available for professional advice, mine is only based on my own opinion and experiences (and doesn't necessarily reflect all the "correct" ways of doing things - but it worked for me) and I'm not qualified in this area. However I did have to consider all the options available so probably am quite well informed on these issues. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to put my email address on this forum or not as I can't see that in the T&Cs but guess I'll get my wrist slapped accordingly if I shouldn't - I can be contacted at xxxxxxxxxxxxxx and apologise in advance to the moderators if that's naughty of me. Happy to chat and provide whatever support I can to you.

    Sassy

Note: Sorry Sassy - yes - your email has been removed in accordance with our User Community Standards and Terms of Service. However, you're more than welcome to chat and provide support and advice on the open forums. I'm sure you understand that where obtaining credit and debt advice is concerned, we need to do our utmost to remove attempts to promote unsolicited services that aren't always the best-suited to a member's particular situation. Thanks.

What kind of solutions would you offer me? Keep being told that no one is giving loans now even to excellent credit rating people. Just want a loan, doing my head in ARGHHHHHHHHHHH.

Re: Anyone with £15,000+ Unsecured Debts with Poor Credit Rating?

I did have... fully sympathise with you. I'm now a discharged bankrupt and starting again with a clean slate. I had close to £50,000 debt, several CCJs, debt collectors like vultures waiting to pounce and, considering all the options, I made what I feel was the best decision and I don't regret it at all. I'm on track now for sorting myself out and if I can be of any guidance to you, please feel free to ask.

Re: Anyone with £15,000+ Unsecured Debts with Poor Credit Rating?

    Hi,

I have both, only have the latter as I have applied for too many consolidation loans well, brokers have and not happy, they want to IVA everything, but I am not in trouble with my creditors just need it all in one place.... So poooooooor credit rating apparently, not defaulted or unpaid anything.

Why are you interested can you lend me the money, hehehehehe
