Re: Another question.... (someone help please!)

Thanks for reply! I registered to swap to scottish power and 3 weeks on i have received a letter saying i cant change as i have an additional meter in the property, this is as i have now found out a southern electric super deal one, if i want to use a different supplier i need to have the meter removed apparently and a different one put in. What a nightmare, i might just stay with southern elec for a while. Ummm only got one heater on as the other 2 arent working and i cant afford to have someone come out and look at them @ £70 per hour without parts!

just looked into swapping from whatever tariff i am on to the online energy saver as think it should be cheaper. My dad pays £80 per month in the flat under mine which is also 1 bedroom with 2 storage heaters, just seems excessive amount for tiny flat.

I am in the process of moving from Southern Elec to Scottish Power.

£50 - £60 pound sounds quite a bit. I'm currently using between 30-35 units a night, thats using two storage heaters on full and at weekends doing the washing early in the morning on Sat and Sun.

How many heaters have you got? You might not need all of them on high.

Make sure you choose a tariff with no standing charge, as this could do you for 18p per day!!!!!!

    Another question.... (someone help please!)

No-one has replied to my post below so I phoned up southern electric and they said the rough cost of heating one bed small flat with storage heaters will be about £50 per month on superdeal.

    rate 1 = 11p rate 2 = 6p rate 3 = 4p

scottish power came out best on comparision but phoned them and they said £60 per month on

rate 1 = 13.25 (first 225kh) I'm not sure if kh is alot! second rate after used first bit is 7.10p and rate 3 for night time is 3.43p

now i am really confused but dont know which will work out cheapest and to me £50-£60 sounds alot for tiny flat for 1 person
