    annual multi-trip travel insurance

I wish to arrange travel insurance (muti-trip), for my wife who is 65, to australia. What is the maximum number of days for 1 trip.
Which companies provide this and do any companies provide 70 - 90 days cover.
I also require travel insurance for myself. I am 70 and believe on a multi-trip insurance a single trip can only be up to 30 days. Is this true?

    Re: annual multi-trip travel insurance

    see "travel Insurance Scams"

I would add that " Barclaycard Classic Annual Travel Insurance" customer service dept, told me, when I asked before starting out,
that it would be possible to extend my cover (beyond the std 35 days) with a simple phone call if I decided tyo stay longer.

THIS WAS SIMPLY NOT TRUE, & whats more they deny they ever said this!
After my accident & hospitalisation, the actually cancelled my policy while I was still out there, & I had to arrange another to cover me to get home again ---- cost $100+ & of course didn't cover any of my existing injuries.

This was “Barclaycard Direct ClassicTravel Insurance”,

An Annual, Multi-trip Policy ----not a “freebee” nor a “cheapee” ---- advertised by Barclaycard, Sold by Barclaycard, Paid for with Barclaycard AND Barclaycard deny all responsibility

N.B. when ringing around to find an alternative Policy, I discover the same Irish Company are also trading as:-

    “Lloyds TSB Holiday Insurance”

This Irish company have since found it prudent to change their name

from "Financial Insurance Co" to " Genworth Financial" ---- same people running it -- from the same PO Box No!!!!
    BE VERY AWARE

    Re: annual multi-trip travel insurance

Finding an annual policy for the over 65's can be difficult as many insurers won't sell you an annual policy once you pass this age. Try sites like Saga and Help the Aged, who both provide travel insurance with no upper age limit.

As to trip duration, again here different insurers will provide different trip lengths on annual policies;companies like insurancebookers allow you a trip duration of 45 days, with the option to extend to 60, unfortunately their annual policy is only available to under 65's

    Best of luck

    Re: annual multi-trip travel insurance

Hi, I am looking to renew my annual travel insurance (multi-trip, EU only, over 65, long stay, couple). My current policy is with CLICK4QUOTE.COM where we have max of 90 days per trip for £178 inc baggage and personal effects. I have also found MRL who do an annual policy with max stay of 120 days per trip but it is more expensive. If neither of these suits you, try googling (travel insurance senior citizens) and see what turns up. Good luck!
