    Phow,

Some good feedback from our trusty forum users.

To clarify, yes you are entitled to the credit built up in your account. However, as already stated, this may depend upon the time of the year and whether the credit will need to stay in the account to cover the winter months.

It may be worth contacting your provider to discuss.

Most people pay a fixed monthly amount .At year end [12months] any credit is returned on request. Most people build up a surplus in summer months to pay for high winter use. Your 'Monthly' amount allows for this as it averages out over Summer and Winter Now if you had credit in February that would be great news. Send in at least every 3 months accurate meter readings to be sure of any credit returns.

Am I entitled to the credit on my gas/electricity bill?

    Hi,

I've just received my latest gas & electricity bill from Powergen and I'm over £100 in credit. Am I entitled to ask for this back? I probably won't bother, because it'll get spent once winter draws in, but I was just wondering.

    Thanks!
