    Absolutely second cmk! I was delighted when branches got new ATMs so you can put cheque through and get picture confirmation on receipt so fingers crossed internet only and here telephone banking cs is fine.

    They only seem to get things right if you handle your account totally online, never use their branches or call centres...and of course always keep a credit balance in the account. Failing that steer clear.!

    Just read an article about these 'cowboys' - I banked with A & L and found their customer support dreadful - nobody was even willing to help solve the problems we encountered with SOs and DDs and their 'charges' were ridiculous to say the least. We ended up threatening them with the Financial Ombudsman - it was the only way we could get our charges refunded which shouldn't have been taken from our account in the first place!
