    Hi,

I've been with this people for a long time and never had any problems. Great support and you can get your credit card in a couple of days.
It's a Virtual credit card actualy but it works like a real Visa credit card.

    Take a look: http://visacreditcards.cashbusinessopportunity.com

    Or Search for CardCBO.

    Good luck.

Actually Zelig you'll probably find your credit history wasn't bad enough for them. They're loath to give a card to someone who could probably get a better rate elsewhere. It also depends on whether you applied for the Vanquis Abacus card (which is for people with very poor credit history) or the Vanquis Blue card (which is for better credit histories.). I applied for the Abacus card - i have a default from 3 years ago, have moved 4 times in the past 5 years and have some late payments on catalogues etc and they happily gave me acrd with a credit limit of £500. Yes, their interest rate is high but it's such a relief to be treated as a human being and given credit not based on mistakes in my past. And it helps so much in rebuilding my credit. I recommend them.

Re: Advise for credit card with "poor" credit

I applied for a Vanquis card and was turned down !! ( I have no CCJ`s and missed a few payments last year )- and sent to someone who couldnt speak English who offered me a loan???
So thy say on the website " We’ll also consider you if you have a poor credit history, or have had credit problems or CCJs in the past"
    Not true my friends

it does take a while, but u got there csh06, keep on top of ya bills and within 6months u will gain yr credit score, try not to apply for diffrent credit cards within the 6months as u will leave footprints all over yrs credit rateing, good luck csh06.... if in 6months u wanna apply again go for capital one, on line,,,, i got a capital one card within 8months,,,,

Re: Advise for credit card with "poor" credit

It took 16 days for my vanquis card to come through! i applied for capital one and other low credit score cards and was turned down instantly so take it as a good sign that they're willing to look at every case. I've moved twice in a year have 2 defaulted accounts and a Scottish Decree (settled) on my file and they gave me card with £250 limit so there is hope for eveyone.

Re: Advise for credit card with "poor" credit

Vanquis are puting there interest rate up by 4% discusting.......
This will happen in September. I 'M not trying to put you off candyman, but if you do get this credit card, it pays you to try and pay your balance off at end of month if you can, come october my credit score should be 1, i'm hopeing i can get a diffrent card with lower interest rates, so i can get rid of this 1. i'm only hanging onto it because it looks good when i want credit.
