Re: Advice on third party insurance

if you have an accident third party ins, will only pay for damage to other car, not a pennny toward your car. it's a chance you take. so the more valuable your car the more need for comprehensive ins. if you have an old car opt for third party. you pays your money you take the chance.

    Advice on third party insurance

Am on international driving license with foreign license for over 6 years. I will be applying for a full UK license soon. I see the insurance costs are very high for international and UK full license as the no claims discount is considered to be 0 and considered as beginner.

I am getting a qoutation for 3 party + fire + theft at a lesser rate. Will this suffice or I need to go for a comprehensive insurance which seem almost 75% of the cost of the car? I understand most first timers go for third party insurance. Since I have third party + fire + theft offered to me I feel this should be fine. Kindly help on clarifying whether third party + fire + theft or comprehensive?
