I've never had any card come special delivery

Same here - generally all my cards have come under plain cover.

One suggestion would be to get the cards sent to a nearby branch that is open at the weekends (doesn't have to be your nearest branch). Certainly HSBC allow you to pick and choose the branch that your cards are sent to - I've used that before as my local branch is only open Mon-Fri 9 to 3:30 but the one in central Reading opens on a Saturday am....

I've never had any card come special delivery but obviously, as soon as you start asking about the delivery details, they'll start to get worried and may start thinking that special delivery would be a good idea for you.

I did have a bit of a misunderstanding with LloydsTSB where some of them though the card had been posted when in fact it had gone to a local branch. They offered to post it but I went and collected instead. I've never had anything like that come with special delivery but then I've never asked...

Advice needed - credit card company that doesn't send cards out special delivery

Need some advice. I need a new credit card asap, however at the moment i’m away abroad working for the next 6 months. Will be back in the UK maybe once every six weeks or so if i’m lucky, but only at the weekends. Need to know which credit card companies send out credit cards non-signed for delivery, as i won’t be able to sign for it. I can’t go pick it up from my local post office depot, as cleverly there closed at the weekend and i can’t even get anyone else to pick it up for me, as only the person it addressed to can pick it up and you need ID.

I’ve tried ringing and asking some credit card companies, but with limited success, think they all think I’m some sort of fraudsters! Doesn’t help that i live in London, a credit card fraud hotspot apparently. The only help i’ve got so far was that HSBC could send me a card to my local branch to pick up, but guess what it’s not open at the weekend!

    Please can someone help!! Thanks
