    Re: Admiral any good?

yeah, i currently with them, the price they give is very reasonable, not like many other insurance they are extreme overprices. i quiet like talking to their staff and they are very reasonable and give suggestion and advice to what need to do and is very helpful. i havn't claim with them before, so i don't know how well they handle with claim. but atm i am very happy with them, thats why i bring my bro's insurance with them and planning to bring my dad's insurance with them when it is up to renew.

however, i am quiet unhappy with Liverpool Victoria with the way they handle claim. Their claim office don't open at weekend at all, and would only forward you to outsource call center that record your details and pass the details back to their claim office when it is weekday. The worst things is, they even record the fault party details wrongly even i been spell out and told them an coupe of time. (e.g. like i told them the fault party's car is a 4x4 jeep, and they still think it is a micra, simply because they record the register number wrongly)

    Re: Admiral any good?

so far so good... though I haven't had to call them for anything yet, the guy who sold it to me was very helpful. I took out a multi-car policy and they gave me my NCB on both my cars, even though I only had it on one and the prices were very competitive, especially for my new honda. For me the real test will be if I ever have to make a claim (fingers crossed I won't!), I keep reading bad reviews on almost every car insurance company on how they handle claims. But so far I'm happy.

Thanks for that info Huckster, I think I'll probably go ahead with them, they have offered a significant saving and they are a well known company. I think to have mixed reviews is probably good, because most I have seen pretty much only have bad reviews!

Mixed opinion about the level of customer service.

See the MS page on Admiral with some consumer reviews. https://www.moneysupermarket.com/c/car-insurance/admiral/reviews/5/

Usually if a company had a poor record for customer service you would see evidence of this in customer forums, when searched on google. I have not found too many reports of people having problems.

    Admiral any good?

    Hi,

I'm up for renewal and I can't decide which car insurance to go with. For me the price is not so much the issue, it's how helpful and competent the car insurance company will be if I ever need to make a claim. Therefore I always avoid the really cheap insurance companies I've never heard of for that reason. I'm currently with Zurich because I got the impression they are quite a good insurance company, but I always shop around anyway, and Admiral gave me a REALLY good quote. But are they any good? I don't find reviews online particularly helpful as all insurance companies seem to get bad reviews (funny that). Has admiral got a good or a bad reputation?

    Any opinions appreciated,

    Thanks

    Nathalie
