    Re: Additional ISA Money

It's £1500. Don't worry about 50 take a leaf out of my people's (I'm Jewish) book. You're 50 years young! Just to answer the question on the tip of your tongue, when you get to 100 you will be 100 years young!!

You can only have one ISA account but you can transfer as you like, remembering about any penalties so that's what you top up but double check on procedure with your provider as a fixed interest ISA will probably be closed to new investment. again double check if there is any modification to transferring with adding in the equation.

    Additional ISA Money

    Hi,

I am over 50 (boo!) and soon to be able to place and additional £2000 (?) in a Cash ISA.

    How is this done ?

I already have a Cash ISA with the Newcastle BS and believe I cannot have another account. The original deposit was on fixed terms. The salesman at the Newcastle indicated that the Government required information regarding WHO has ISA funds with them, NOT how many accounts!. And, unsurprisingly, that we could deposit the additional monies with them.

I'm not sure about this. It seems a doubtful device to qualify for ISA status. What do you think?
