Re: Abbey National - 125% mortgage?

Welcome back Gemma....it seems that it has been a bad time with the secured loan companies dropping their 125% products. Abbey only allow 100% for purchase and only up to 95% for debt consolidation, they used to have 125% for existing customers but that is only available in-house. The only lenders up for 125% are BM solutions and the Coventry along with the infamous N Rock. Around me property prices have not risen a great deal and I have advised some applicants that their best bet is either to downsize or sell and rent.....hard to believe in such a short space of time that things can change this drastically. The increase in rates is starting to take it's toll on the applicants that started their foray into the property game when rates were so low. Have you actually been to see an adviser yet, it seems so long ago?
