Re: a sad day for MS

    Hi Graeme,

It only goes to show that heavy advertising can sometimes backfire. I find that some companies bombard us with their advert and the net result is that we turn off, or in my case get suspicious and take a look elsewhere. I wont expand on it but the quote for insurance was from the same company you listed at more than £30 more expensive!!

Anyway i will continue to try MS as and when.

Thanks maxsteam. Hmmmm...I haven't seen this.

Could you drop me an email with a screenshot - if you can - and I'll look into it.

    Thanks,

    Graeme Delap:

    they're delivered to our site

... and to other sites. My insurance was all sorted out a couple of weeks ago but I still see the quotes listed in a MoneySupermarket advert every time that I go to eBay. I'd not be happy if this was a shared computer.

Re: a sad day for MS

    Hi edwards,

I trust all is well? Thanks for the post - and I'm very sorry to hear that this time around we weren't able to help you save. I hope you'll be able to use our site in the future and - as always - we'll do our very best to help you make a saving.

I do think it's worth pointing out that we're one of a handful of independent comparison sites (also listed on the London Stock Exchange) and that we aren't directly responsible for the pices you see - they're delivered to our site by the insurers themselves - through the technology that our clever 'IT boffins' have developed.

It's also worth me making very clear that we don't charge for this service and we do not add any 'premium' to the prices displayed. We get paid if a customer successfully applies for an account or policy through our site and goes on to purchase it. You can read a bit more about how we make our money here.

I hope that helps. I do agree - a sad day for us! Sorry that we weren't able to help you save this time around, but I can promise you - it's not because of our recent new advertising campaign! If you'd like more details - or you'd like me to look into anything for you - feel free to drop me a line and I'll be more than happy to look into it.

    All the best,
    Graeme

    a sad day for MS

I have used MS for some years for car insuranceand todate have always been cheapest , but I have been worried about the amount of advertising done by MS and who was paying for it, us?

So this time round, after getting MS lowest cost for car insurance, I decided to shop around the other comparison sites, especially those who do little advertising and what a surprise, I now have a quote some £25 cheaper than MS.

As we are keep being told, SHOP AROUND!!!
