    Re: 7k Debts

Firstly; stop applying for more credit, further declined applications will only serve to further degrade your existing credit rating.

Secondly; Never go to the private fee charging companies, instead seek the immediate free help of any of the professional charitable organisations below. After preparing a income and expenditure balance sheet they will be in a position to identify your essential living costs and suggest where savings could be made, restructure your existing payments, or ensure that you are receiving everything that you are entitled to.

The debt of £7k is not huge by some standards and can soon be sorted out, but if you are struggling to make payments then you need some external professional help to balance the accounts.

Me and my partner between us owe out around 7000 pounds.

We have stopped paying our loans and credit cards and store cards but still are behind with TV License and Council Tax. We have tried to apply for loans but have failed. Miserably. We just want to consolidate all our debts and hopefully only pay around 200 to 250 max a month. We both keep going over our overdraft limits due to bank charges that just keep coming every month. We tried going with a company that promised to manage our debts and help us but it seems they take a percentage of the money which is ridiculous.

We are clueless as to what to do. We need to sort this fast for the sake of our health and relationship.

I will accept any help or suggestions. Thank you.
