Tmobile do exactly the kind of offer you are looking for. £15 - £20 a month, you get your minutes, once you use them, you can receive incoming only until your next billing period.

    Hi,

Yes - but you set up a maximum that the user is allowed to go over by

Say - for example, you are on the £15 unlimited txt and 350 minutes calls package and have set the max "overdraft" at £5 - then the maximum that the month will cost is £20

Alternatively - the "fixed" package will stop working after 350 minutes of calls per month - that is almost 7 hours - which should be adequate - with unlimited texts

Your only concern should be coverage in your area - check at http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/services/coverage/

thanks for the reply had a look at solo fixed as i undertood it when you go over your allowance, you pay for it.

My lads dont understand the value of money so would just keep on using the phone.at an extra cost

    Re: 30 day rolling contracts

I suggest Tmobile - they have a £15 per month - unlimited TxT account (and 350 minutes phone calls) that prevents the customer from "over spending" by a preset amount - it is on a 30 day sim only deal - not "rolling" but ....

    SOLO FIXED on http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/mobile-phones/sim-card/pay-monthly/

The "capped allowance" can be set at Zero - but with unlimited Texts - I see no reason to go over the amount anyway.

    bugsy13:

If you definately want a 30 day sim only deal check out the network websites, but perhaps the most relevant issue is why are you seeking a different arrangement. Which specific improvemnets are you looking for over the current deals? How many calls/texts are the users making in a typical month and how much are they paying? Are they comfortable with a Direct Debit arrangment for the monthly charges.

If the limit is the most important feature than only PAYG offers that reliably. Only PAYG does not also offer the opportunity to scr*w a credit history for 6 years.

Up to you but please look at PAYG in conjunction with a sim free phone. Look at play.com to get an idea of the cost of a sim free phone. Also note that Asda Mobile network phones are sold unlocked.

I agree with the above. You should investigate a pay as you go mobile as an option. There are all sorts of fancy deals around but, in my view, you should include Asda, Lebara and Lyca on the list of alternatives to look at. If they top up £20 each month, they wont be able to use more than the credit on the phone. If they want to pay a bit more or a bit less in one month, it's no great problem as it would be for a contract phone.

    Re: 30 day rolling contracts

Over the years I have seen this matter brought up on forums, by friends and never found a network that agrees to limits. Quite the opposite I have seen people in some distress because a network has given them a limit and then due to fraud it has been grossly exceeeded and the network is unsympathetic. I cannot say limits don't exist definitively but whether or not they do there must be serious doubt as to whether they are respected and there is a get out for the network in the very small print not even available to a customer unless you know what to ask.
