Wanting to make as much money as you can as quickly as possible from stock market investing is likely to lead to you losing a big portion of your initial capital. Therefore this is not the Golden Rule.

You should be studying and learning, then paper trading (demo trades) before you commit a penny to investing.

I did 2 trades when I started investing without any knowledge, one tripled in value in one year but the other lost 83%, it just shows the danger of investing in risky shares. In more recent years I took risk too but after gaining some knowledge on how to reduce the chances of blowing my capital funds. There is no easy answer to making money.

    No it shouldn't.

However if you are determined to have exposure to the stock market, the best principle is to make regular monthly contributions to a "fund". Over time this delivers something called "pound cost averaging". Plenty of Google links explain it better than I can.

£1000 to save. What to do?

I am an unemployed 23 year old with a loose £1000. I want as much money as i can get as quickly as i can get it. Ive no experience of the stock market, and i already have ISA which gives me interest yearly. I am willing to look at the stock market option, but not on my own-id need to do it via a bank.....as i say, im totally new to it.

And suggests on what to do with my £1000-remember my mantra, which should be the mantra of every recently unemployed saver-i want to increase my money as quickly and as much as possible.
