Just wanted to start-up an easy to Google forum regarding the above telephone number which has been calling my mobile 2-3 times a day. Each time I have ignored it however when I called 01706 713200 back an automated message comes on saying that BMS customer support is closed. I then looked up the telephone code which is a Rochdale code along with "BMS" and I found that a lot of people on "3" are receiving these calls every day.

One report has even mentioned that somebody has called from the above number claiming to be a debt recovery agent and asking for credit card details.

I would be interested to know if anyone else is having this problem and can we act together to put this to an end as it's incredibly annoying.

No Details but I live in Rochdale. the only bms i know is a motor spares company.....have you tried answering when it rings to find out why they are calling ???...

I hate these parasites who persist but wondered why they rang you....??

Hi --- It seems you are being targeted by a scammer, that sends them to other people on the "3" network, place the words, " bms rochdale " into Google, then scroll down to the seventh article, it is a site called mobilebanter and seems there are lots of others having the same problem.

**** To add some members have reported the culprits name and address contained in that forum, to the Gt Manchester Police.

Thanks for the info. To be honest I just wanted to get some google coverage on the telephone number itself as it's the first thing I googled which didn't return any results. I'm hoping this forum will be easier to find for people searching for the full telephone number and try and stop these calls from happening.

I had recieved a missed call from this company today morning, and when I typed in the number in google i came across this page.  I have called them back and got through to a person called cameron, who convinced me and i have taken a contract out with them.  they offered me 750 minutes and 150 text msgs for £28 for life.  also he promised me a playstation 3, which is the real reason i took this out.  He told me that they will send it to me after 2 weeks.

i will keep you posted as to whether or not i recieve this.

BMS are constantly calling me twice a day. tonight i answered the guy on the phone said " Hello luv we are calling  you on behalf of 3 have you had an upgrade?"  I replied no  i don't want  an upgrade and asked why they have been calling me for the last two weeks twice a day. He replied " well i'll keep phoning you luv until you do alright bye" he then put the phone down before i could reply. I was fuming! First i hate  anyone calling me luv  on  the phone like they  know me,who do the think they are? The number was 01706 713200 i tried to call back and they were closedthe number is from Rossendale near Rochdale . I then called 3 and complained they told me to register with TPS (telephone preference service)is the central opt out register on which you can record your preference not to receive unsolicited sales but it takes 28days.I searched for info on this site It's a company called BMS:

 I'm now being badgered by this company virtually every day, and I'm with Orange. On a whim I Googled the phone number and discovered a whole online community cheesed off with these idiots. After reading about how they've spoken to others over the phone (and in particular it seems, women) I can't wait to speak to one of these retards.

Let's arm ourselves and march on Rochdale!!

Ask these people lots of questions, pick holes in everything they say, seem very interested, get them to explain everything, act dumb, then after 15 minutes (or whenever you get bored) ask them to put the offer in writing so you can mull over it. They won't. Don't agree to anything unless you see it in writing. At least this way you can waste some of their time. Hopefully with all this lost productivity, they wil go out of business....

I was of the same opinion until I was sold to by this company.  I have bought 3 contracts from them, 1 for me, my wife and my son.  Now i have been told by the sales agent (well he said hes one of the senior managers at the place, his name was zak) that if i recommend at least 2 more people then i will get £60 and a 19" samsung lcd tv.

and if anyone at bms reads these posts please tell zak to slow down he talks way too fast

So would I - especially if a penguin was involved as well - they can be quite agressive on a bad day... 

Hi every one, just thought i would let you know about this company, the company  is called "BURY MARKETING SALES", their website is www bmsltd org / contact

They are a marketing sales company based in Rochdale, 3 have confirmed this company sell mobiles but as an independent organisation, they are not allowed to call anyone after 9pm, the advice worker at 3 is going to report the company regarding their aggressive sales tactics.  if you receive a call from them, state that you are on month 3 of an 18 month contract, you are registered with TPS (telephone preference service) which should stop them calling, also ask them for their business code (which they won't know) tell them it is so you can check if they are a genuine company, be very confident on the phone and sound like you know what you are saying, this is 99% gauranteed to stop them calling you, I hate companies like this but love knowing how to stop them calling you.
