They were really happy to do this. I thought great. They then started adding charges on without telling me of £25 for each late payment. Eventually I couldn't afford the loan and they repossessed the car. I had been paying the loan for 40 months of the 48, they took the car a year ago. Last week I had a call to say I still owed £6,700 of a £12,000 loan ( the car was only £5,000) I got them to agree a settlement of £2,00o ( although I don't even think I owe this). This week I got a letter from the Lewis group for an immediate payment of £6,700 to be paid immediately. Be very careful with Welcome. I now do not know which way to turn or what to do. So if anyone can advice me I would be grateful. There is also a lot more to my situation and how they came to give me a loan. All very dodgy.

wanted short term loan

Is it possible to get a loan without Early Redemption charges, and do most of the companies have a 14 day cancellation agreement ?

Upfront loan fees

Hello has anyone heard of magic finance? I have been my grand parent's full timer carer for the past few years, and therefore have a large space in my employment record, which, in the current climate, as well as the area I am living, is making it difficult for me to find work. What I would like to do is sell the property and rent in an area where I am more likely to find employment. Unfortunately, the house needs quite a bit of work to bring it up to a good condition for sale. The house itself is owned outright by myself, there is no mortgage or any other debts attached to the property. I am looking for is a loan or possibly even a small mortgage that will provide me the money to redecorate the house ready for sale, and deal with any possible charges that may arise while selling the property. Unfortunately, I do not seem to be able to find anyone willing to offer a loan or mortgage to myself due to my lack of employment, despite the fact that I have a good credit record. I would like some advice on possibly securing a loan/mortgage in my current circumstances, or if I should consider other options (such as "sale and rent back" or other schemes) Thank you for your time, and any help you can give me.

Mortgage loan

Good morning Sky Blue Finance - Does anyone know whether this firm is reputable? I have been a bit rubbish recently and overspent, causing me to take out some payday loans just as short term cover. I'm not in any financial trouble with them, they are all being paid etc, but I currently owe the following: MEM Capital - £75 (due 30/10) Wonga - £300 (due 27/11) Quick Quid - £150 (due 30/10) Cash Choice - £187.50 (due 27/11) Payday Express - £150 (due 27/11) What I want to know is, prior to taking these out I had really good credit and would have been able to take out a mainstream loan (but this just wouldn't have been quick enough at the times I've needed the money) but that of course is what I now want to do, take a loan out of about 10k over 2 years. I'm in FT employment, earning £25k a year, no defaults or CCJs or anything, and am now a homeowner too. If I try to apply for a loan now, will these outstanding/recent payday loans cause me any trouble? They will all have been paid off or be in the process of being paid off, as I am managing them fine. Would a lender see this as me being bad with money in terms of needing them, or good in terms of paying them all off okay? I know a payday loan is not the cheapest or most sensible way of dealing with cash flow problems, but there's not many other options that are so quick and easy. I just hope I've not damaged my chances of getting the real loan I want for home improvements now. Any advice you can give would be most appreciated. Thanks Micha

Please help, welcome finance!

I got a car loan from welcome 2 years ago, can i stop paying them as they broke the law within the contract its with my solicitor at the moment (they are a 100% the contract welcome had me sign is illegal - they added interest on a few things that they cannot do by law), but this is taking so long. I was desperate for the money so signed on the dotted line. Me and my partner bought a house last year and it prompted me to have a look at my credit agreement which stated my loan term was over three years, not the two I had originally thought. I had already signed and paid for a year so I didn't do anything. Earlier this year, I cancelled my PPI and they sent me out a new credit agreement. Instead of changing my monthly payment, they shortened the term of the loan but today I phoned the office because I wanted a settlement figure which they can't tell you over the phone, only by post so I am awaiting that. Whilst I was on the phone, I asked what my outstanding balance was and they told me £2170.00 - WTF?! The original loan was for £2000 at £155 per month which means I have already paid £3720 off and still another £2170 so in total for a £2000, I would be paying back £5690! I asked the lady what the total was to pay at the start of my loan and she told me £3053. When she told me that she said that there was something wrong with my account because she said in theory, you have paid more than you needed to. She transferred me to the Branch Manager who is sending me out a settlement figure and statements but didn't seem to understand what I was saying. My loan was for £2000 and the APR is 60% = £3200 to pay. I have paid £155 for the past two years = £3720 so don't they owe me money?! The Branch Manager said I owed them £311.90 that I was in arrears which is incorrect - I have never missed a payment and I have my bank statements to prove it. Please tell me, am I going insane or have I paid more than I should have already with still a year outstanding?

Loans

Loan to Loans - I writing to learn if anyone has had dealings with this company. Have any of you guys used/been with/know of FLM? I have applied for a loan of £1500 and so far - been accepted as long as i can provide a guarantor... The repayments are not as bad as some of the places i have seen... of course they are high... BUT thats to be expected when i have bad credit :(. Anyways, I have looked for reviews and not really found that much and i really can't afford to be stung this close to Christmas. Also, i am sorry if i sound really stupid asking this, BUT, on the information i have been sent.... it has the amunt i am wanting to borrow - the APR etc repayment amounts etc... ALSO it has something that says "Total charge for Credit - £838.56" and "Rate of interest 36%" What is this??? Thank-you for anyone that can help me out.. I wanted to get a new car 6 months earlier than id planned for, so i rang asda loans who told me that due to not having a credit card and not owing anybody any money, we are not viable. Is it true that because your very good with your money, (i.e paying £300pm over my tracker mortgage rate to get it down quicker and never, ever going overdrawn), that theres no point applying? Any advice would be helpful

bad credit loan

I have a bad credit history. I have no debt (except for my mortgage and car) Ihave a credit ratingof 976, no CCJs, I am on the electoral roll and have no defaults or missed payments. I need a £10k unsecured loan to refurb my house. I applied to the Abbey who turned me down. Can anyone shed any light?? I thought I'd get a loan no problem. I have moved house quite a lot (although have been in my current house for 13 months) so I don't know if that is an issue. I don't want to keep applying as that in itself will bring my credit score down. Any help would be appreciated Thanks Sophie xx
