Every insurance policy should be scrutinised to understand all fee charges etc. BISL/BGL are just a broker, in the event of a claim it is up to your insurer to look after you. BISL will offer you loads of extras if the claim is non fault (to be expected) but otherwise it is up to your insurer. I've been working at BGL @ 5 years and have had budget policies for both car and home for the past 5 years (my only benefit is 0 commission but on most new policies other customers can expect negative commission - better than me!!).

I would suggest for every insurance policy that you take out that you read the t&c's carefully.
