When SMS messed me around for the second time about a year ago I told the NEC/NIA what I thought of their agent for delivery. They sympathised with me and said 'it seems to happen to a lot of people' . . . Unfortunately, I was told, like a lot of Quango type organisations (they are sustantially an arm of Birmingham City Council) some idiot type droid in another non-customer aware department had done the deal giving them the delivery contract and had not put in any quality specification or means to enforce what the end consumer would consider reasonable.

However, they have undertaken to forward event tickets by Royal Mail on request so remember thay if you are attending any of the events at their venues in the Midlands. Otherwise you'll get the SMS run around - and a buck passing, jeering Mr Mad.
