    V. ANGRY re Bank Charges

I just want to vent my frustration to anyone who will listen as I am v angry.

I check my bank acc daily online to ensure I do not exceed my small overdraft. I have two accounts current and ISA with Natwest. On the 15th October a direct debit was due  this showed on my acc as having left my acc yesterday (not pending) and I then transferred some money to my isa leaving enough to cover a cheque I have written which has not yet cleared. I checked again tonight to see if the cheque had gone out yet only to find my bank have reversed the direct debit as unpaid and charged me £38 pounds for this. It seems they have counted the transfer as occuring before the direct debit payment (even though it was after close of business last night)  Fortunately as the cheque still has not cleared this did not take me overdrawn (which would have incured another charge) I have phoned them only to be told the lending dept is closed and no one else will discuss it with me so I am angry and ready for war in the branch tomorrow ! I am determined to get this waived.
