No I'm not, I actually had a good experience with them. I am not interested in furthering my career or touting for business (as many companies and individuals already do on this site). I do not work in or around the financial sector, I recommend that everyone get a recommendation from a friend because finding a good adviser in this world that isn't out for themselves is very hard to find. I have reported your post as I have found it very offensive. Please retract it immediately.

As per the original question, it sounds like the IFA hasn't been 100% honest with you. My first IFA referral was through moneysupermarket.com which can refer you onto an IFA in your area. Its always best you can meet with a mortgage broker face to face so you can make a good judgement and build up a relationship with them. As you need a new mortgage quite quickly, I'd call round a few this weekend if they are open just to put your mind to rest to see if your current mortgage offer is the best deal for you.
