I am so, so sorry to hear all this. If it's any consolation, the FSCS seem to be erring on the side of caution with their dates so far (4th December being stated as last date for second emails originally). Perhaps it will be less than a week before they contact you.......here's hoping anyway. In the meantime I'd keep trying to initiate whenever you get the chance. I'll keep checking back here to see if you've had any luck.
