Re: Teenage bank account when parent is in debt management

lloyds tsb or alliance and leicester

your credit history will do him no favours as i do believe as you live under the same roof then you will be classed as finiancially linked, plus at 16 i assume he has no credit history of his own if he has never had anything on credit which he shouldnt have with being under the age to enter into a credit aggreement! but it will not do him any great damage, there is no such thing as a "blacklist" or any other silly folk lore rumours we hear of so try, if you dont ask you dont get.

i hope with you being on debt management you can teach him how to manage his moey effectively, scare the hell out of him so that he is financially secure at your age cause i am the same! never resorted to debt management as i dont think the charges they apply to you every month are worth paying when i can get in touch with all my creditors myself and sort out payment plans etc etc , it is bloody hard work as i have a hell of a lot more paper work than i feel i can control at times but at least i am only paying my bills and not putting money in the big fat cats hand every day! and october 1st i will be debt free!

good luck and let us know how it goes
