    Selling Car - Complaints Procedure?

    Me and my partner had recenty sold our KA to Heartlands Ford. We agreed a price and were told the cheque would be sent out same day, this was on the 22/05 We were told with the weekend and bank hol we should recieve it by wed the next week. Overly long story short we recieved it today only after having to complain several times and having been lied to. We were told the cheque was on it's way then were told it hadn't been sent yet, then we were told a new one was been drawn up as a manager had gone on holiday with the cheque in his bag!!! We were told several stories none of which were true. We complained to another manager and the reply was appalling and childish. I know with financial services you can take complaints to financial ombudsman fsa etc but not to sure with a complany like Ford? Any help is greatly appreciated.
