I am an Energy Online customer and I was trawling comparison rates last week. I realised that Powergen were offering an "Energy Online Extra Saver" to new customers. This amounted to an extra 10.60% until at least 31 July 2008. I got straight on the phone to them and got this applied to my account. I have now got an overall discount of 19.60% to the Energy Online prices.

and 10.60% Energy Online Extra Saver

This extra 10.60% will not be applied to your account UNLESS YOU ASK FOR IT. This will also apply to their reduced tariff rates, when they eventually decide to give us one. All I can say is that you need to check your tariff at least monthly to ensure you are getting the best offers from your own supplier. This one freephone call saved me £100 per year!!!
