Hello people,
Has anyone switched from Pay monthly to Pay as you go and regretted it?
I have just requested my Orange line be transferred to a Pay as you go since I wasn't happy with the upgrade offers. I've been with Orange for more than 2 years and I have 2 lines with them but they wanted to charge me £400 for the Nokia N96 or £200 for the SE C905 on an 18 month contract/ £30pm. I think this is absurd as that would equate to atleast £850 for the N96 or £650 for the C905 over the next 15 months before the next upgrade is due when the actual phone is under £500 sim free. I am a very low user and hardly ever use up my minutes/ text allowance and I have 800mins/ 300 txts on my missus' phone (I pay the bill) so I decided to go PAYG and save myself some money and this'll also give me the flexibility to buy the phone I want when I want.
What do you guys think? I've been on PAYG before but changed it after a few months 'cos I wanted the W810i (2.5 years ago) and I got a good deal on it. I don't think I'll ever be tempted to go back on Pay monthly seen as the tariff's are so bloody expensive and over a longer period.
