Hope someone can advise. My elderly father has just had to make himself bankrupt due to extensive loan debts. He lives with my mother in rented accomodation and they have no personal assets. They have a joint bank account which has now gone overdrawn as my fathers personal loan repayment continued to hit the account whilst he was being made bankrupt. The official receiver is aware of the overdraft.

My mother and father have no income other than their pensions. How will the current account overdraft(which stands at £1k now affect my mother as she has no way of every paying it off?
