Re: New Powergen Boiler - 0% Finance

Firstly, Congratulations on your up and coming arrival.

Do you have any equity in your house? - as it may be better (and far cheaper) to get a local firm and add the amount on to your mortgage, therefore not taking out an extra loan, and with minimal monthly effect to your finances.

I have to admit, £3k is far too expensive, I had a new boiler supply and fit and three radiators and valves all for £1,400. My sister got Grittish Bass to fit hers, cost her nearly £4k, and ended up with leaks all over the place, and found all she was told when she complained was that it was the subcontractors they use, and it took her absolutely months to sort it out. Powergen will not employ their own fitters, so it is far better in the long run to go direct rather than through an expensive middle man.

     Hope this helps

    Duncs
