    Re: Landsbanki Guernsey

Just to reassure those who think some are not actioning matters. I for one although thousands of miles away at present am sending e-mails every day. I don't have time to post everything. Here is one from today:

Dear Mr Trott and Mr Neville,

I am still waiting to hear what actions are being taken by the Guernsey Government and the GFSC over and above the appointment of Deloitte as receivers to "achieve the survival of the bank" (GFSC statement).

I would expect Governmental actions to include:

    1. Talking to and negotiating with the UK and Icelandic Governments to find solutions - no matter if Guernsey has no Embassies.

    2. Actively looking for and negotiating with banks to purchase part or all of the Landsbanki Guernsey perhaps as part of the Ing Direct Scheme involving Heritable.

    3. Pursuing funds such as those transferred to the Heritable Bank and any transferred to the parent Icelandic Bank or other members of the Group.

It may be that such actions are taking place but your silence in this respect is ominous and potentially tragic for we depositors.

    Yours sincerely.

    Charles Downing.
