Hi, this is a message for Crocky...I hope you're still following this thread.

Thanks to your words of wisdom and advice back in December/January I finally had a response from the Financial Ombudsman this week who have upheld my PPI mis-sell complaint and ordered Firstplus to award us £500 compensation. I haven't had any response to this from Firstplus yet but i'm sure its only a matter of time. We are now looking forward to a large refund of about £5000 which we can pay off the outstanding loan balance. Once the loan is re-written we should owe them less than £10,000 which we will clear with an unsecured personal loan (already pre-approved for that!). Husband and I are very grateful to you for getting us on this road as our financial circumstances will be greatly improved once this is all sorted out. Cheers to you! Aly xx
