    Inheritance tax/solicitors

I feel very let down by my solicitors;I received a notificatioon for Inheritance tax in September for over £90,000 -£2,400 of this was interest because the solicitors failed to notify me at the end of January that it was due to be paid on 1 February 2007.I managed to pay the full amount in September

Since then I have asked the solicitors for a refund of the £2,400 saying that I hold them responsible - they admit they are liable but are only prepared to offer me the difference between having that money on deposit since 1 February and the time I paid the Inheritance Tax bill in September; I don't see that their response is fair or reasonable - can anyone advise me how I should proceed; I feel that they should pay the £2,400 . I have been let down by them and it has caused me no-end of worry.
