Following on from jacqui's comments, Wednesday or Tuesday, I forget which day now, but there was a lady on BBC news24 stating that she had wind of Icesave as far back as the spring this year and had been advising against deposits int that institution.
Because of the flurry of activity over the past few days I did not get her name or which establishment she was a representative of.
All that said - I never saw or heard anything over the summer did anyone else?
And whilst blame can be apportioned to almost anywhere, even ourselves for using these banks, surely the FSA or some other body should be monitoring institutions who choose to come do business in our country. AND in addition as we believe at the moment they are unable to honour their part of the agreement to repay the first £16,000 - then the agreement is simply a useless paper exercise.
