I can laugh about my DD obsession now the saga is over! As soon as I got my money from the FSCS I deleted the Landsbanki DD. I can't seem to escape Iceland though as it's frequently in the news: something today about Landsbanki and the Baugur group. I'm ashamed to say I shopped the other day at the Icelandic owned food chain Iceland to see what the food was like - it's very cheap. Sadly, their frozen cod wasn't up to much - tastless in fact. I won't shop there again.

I still have this forum bookmarked as I can't resist a peek at least once a week! Nice that it's still going.

Hi Swifts - I saw the Baugur group thing with interest - I used to work for Iceland and in fact the last job I did there was to help Iceland sell itself to the Icelandics........... Baugur were not nice people to deal with and I suppose I should have heeded experience before going with Icesave - To be fair all the people who work for Iceland are nice people although I agree with the frozen cod............
