I agree with you chezu2. I have just received a letter from A&L whose interest rate on their e saver account is 0.25%!! I am going to extend my house with my money in the hope that I will get a better return in the long term.

Hope baby arrives soon and safely grand-children are such a joy.

I agree with the extending of the house - we are doing the same with the same idea. Interest rates are a joke at the moment.

Also anybody read that the Icelandic government has fallen today. They are having an election an the robbing prime minister is not going to stand on health grounds (probably retire with a fat pension paid from UK savers) Must say to being glad its all behind us now
