I will never forget listening to the world at one on Tuesday 7 October.

My world collapsed as I could see the majority of my life savings being taken away from me. I was totally devastated. Needless to say the elation I felt when the good news came through on the Wednesday was indiscribable.

I do feel sorry for the investors from Guernsey and the various charities etc. who are going to have a hard job getting their investments back at all.

The irony is that it STILL seems the best place to leave my bond!!!
