we have been having extreamly high electricity bills for over 2 years now since we had a digital meter put in, our bills are almost 3 times our neighbours, who refused the meter, but we are out of the house more often then we are in. there also seems to be no difference to consumption to winter or summer and when i was on maternity leave and home allot more no difference. i have a tree bed end terrece with all usual gadgets washing machine tumble dryer but this is rarley used in the summer. i have gas central heating.

i have spoken seval times with our suppliers who all say it is right but never sent some one to check. we have done a little experiment and need to know if this seems right.

we have recently been away for 10 days and whilst we were away we turned off every thing except the usual fridge freezer and the odd thing like the microwave and oven. then took the reading and in 10 days the house still managed to consume over 100 units, is this right?

any help would be greatly appreciated as at a loss as to why are electricity bill is arround £180 a month.
