Hi, In my experience if you got a loan now you would be unable to apply for a loan later in the year.

Why not speak to the bank about increasing your overdraft for 6 months?If you have a plan before you speak to them in writing about why you need an extention (dont say a holiday) and how your financial position will improve-ie a job in sept, they may help. I did this with my bank but i would advise making an appointment with your bank dont just ring up as you will just get a standard answer no circumstances taken into account.

If this doesnt work, you could apply for a 0% credit card but be warned- credit card interest is a scary thing!! If its for a bit of holiday money and you know you will be able to pay back in few months go for it. Just remember that if you apply for one and are turned down it will show on your credit file. Take a look on this website for the best 0% deals.

Another option if you havent already done so is to speak to your credit card provider and ask for a payment holiday or at least a payment plan- again explain your situation (no mention of hols!) and how it will improve in sept. (draw back to this is that it will go on your credit file) A payment holiday is just what it sounds like! A payment plan is a set amount to pay for eg 3 months it will be alot less than your minimum payment as interest & charges are frozen.
