    Help trying to cancel Orange broadband with my MAC code

    My broadband changed from orange to Sky yesterday, great. Then today I rang Orange to give them the 30 days notice as required from the MAC code being used (I think it must have been used for Sky to change me over??) (I know i'll have to pay the 30 days)and I informed them that I had changed with a mac code.

    Orange said that because Sky had not told them I had changed and as they had not told Orange they had used my Mac code if I cancelled now I'd be subject to a connection/disconnection fee of #18.50 from orange for not using the mac code? they also said that Sky may be in the process of telling Orange and it could take up to 14 days for Sky to tell them? this means Orange they are getting another 14 days payment out of me for nothing at all this can't be right can it?

    I AM NOW WITH SKY BROADBAND I HAVE BEEN SINCE YESTERDAY - SURELY THEY MUST HAVE USED MY MAC CODE OR WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TAKE OVER MY BROADBAND??

    I have emailed Sky to ask them to help sort it out and await a response.BUT ANY ADVICE APPRECIATED AS I KNOW PEOPLE GET MUCKED AROUND WITH ISSUES LIKE THIS AND I WANT IT SORTING MANY THANKS ALL HAVE A FAB WEEKEND
