well wonders never cease..i have just had a call from someone claiming to know all about this case

well i tend to beleive him as he got my number and knew all about the recovery situation

he says he totally agrees with me about the company....his words....and he stated that gateway stopped

being interested in helping me from day 1 because i refused to hand over the car and that cost them money...i asked him to put it in this forum on moneysupermarket.com..he declined.he then wished me good luck....and put the phone down.....

just to clarify .about why i never give them the car..the day of the bump was on a sunday morning..i phoned up monday morning explained the situation there and then they wrote it off over the phone ...i asked about the curtosey car i was told i cant have one as there writing mine off..and that someone would pick it up the following day..i told them do not send anyone to pick the car up as its still roadworthy and i desperatley need it for the next few days this was the first ever i will ring you back i got from them ....and guess what ..yes you guessed it they never did ring back...instead the recovery transporter turned up the next day ....i explained to him that i phoned my crap car insurers and told them not to send you out ...he said nobody phoned them ....i got back on the phone straight away as the recovery driver said i might not be insured in it now...so i ask why they have sent a recovery truck .and had to explain the whole rigmarol over again .( bear in mind i told them straight from my first ever phone call to them that they cant have the car for at least a few days... before they had even had a chance to arrange the recovery .....and i asked why no one phoned me back ..very busy was the reply...more like they didnt have the answers.......i then asked the question the recovery man put to me will i still be covered to drive this vehicle over the next few days..she said she didnt know i asked if you dont know what chance have i got of knowing..she said ..wait 4 it ...i will ring you back.....

later that night i phoned them again...asked again will i be insured still to drive this vehicle they then said they have agreed to carry on my cover for the car for 3 more days then recovery will come back for it ..i agreed .....so .answer this gateway if the car was a right off why did you let me drive it for another 3 days ..

so you see people straight from day 1 how useless this company is
