    landrover2009:

if this company was realy as bad as u lot make out they would have been shut down by trading standards. it seems to me that the police arnt to botherd by engine warehouse if they were they would not be encouraging all the bloger on here to take cival action against them(the met would be taing action them selvs )(you getting what is called the brush off an the standard letter) as for trying to find out who the MD is grow some balls u lot pick the phone up an ask them as i did i was told by one of there staf. i am still very happy with my engine it is going well had the servicing done by them an it was very impressed by the quick turn around time. they acted in a very professional an civilised manor (not like barberions how some of u like to make out) i even had a a chat wth staff an other custmers about the site most of them had seen the site an didnt put them taking the car to them or taking the car back for servicing. One member of staff said u can only tell how big an well a company is doing by its complaints an recond this site was one of there bigest marketing tools. they recomend people to read it aparentley!!!! they also said to me that if people would read there terms an conditions that are avalible from the web site non of thease complains would be here. Any way thats it for me for now. an all you god people at the engine warhouse keep the good work up dont let this bunch of wasters get you down!

As I have already said before, it is pointless trying to take these people to court because as soon as the CCJ's mount up they simply change the company name. As for the Trading Standards, they do not have the power to close anybody down. The same with the police, what HEC/Engine Warehouse etc etc are doing is looked upon in the eyes of the law as civil not criminal (despite what all of our opinions are). It is the laws in this country that allow people like this to continue ripping people off and they walk the very thin line and can get away with it. If you have no conscience or scruples anyone can do as they do. Remember, the amounts that they are relieving their customer's of is, by the sounds of things, a couple of thousand in each case. Now, this all mounts up to a lot of money, but not on an individual basis, so if they had ripped one person off for say a couple of hundred thousand , then the police would be more interested. I notice that I have never received a response when I asked a couple of months ago for a reply from someone that had actually taken them to court and had the money from the judgement that had been awarded to them. So from that I take it that no one ever has. Really, the only way to close these people down for good is to avoid them in the first place.
