sherriff:I don't know if it would work. Our company has had experience of small claims court. We were advised not to bother by our solicitor. We had a serious fallout with one of our suppliers. They terminated contract to supply us. We withheld payment. Both of us just being bloody minded. Next minute, they issued us with a closure order if we didn't pay. No arguing, we had to pay or close down, period!! request return of your money by closure order? Best of luck.
I would imagine somewhere in the terms of your contract with the suppliers it was written up that they could enforce some sort of order to get their money. Also, were they quite big players? it seems to me that the bigger the company, the more they can lean on the little people to get what they want. As I have already said in my previous posts these people are very clever, I have seen copies of the paperwork that people get when they drop their car off, they have it all sewn up. A few months ago, I asked if anyone had ever successfully sued these people, the fact that no-one posted a reply is an answer in itself. 'Cassafor' Only you can do what you think is best, but I think that by taking these people to the small claims court, you will be throwing good money after bad.
