Ive been wondering through the last few days whether it a good opportunity to invest in the major banking institutions in the UK at the moment and maybe others like CitiBank, whose shares have dropped drastically within the last 6 months or so.

Im under the understanding that these shares will increase in the next few years and killing can be made. Am I under the right understanding?

Also what sites that a easy to use, can I log onto to start dabbling in the stock market, so I can practice.

Also is the bloomberg software available to the general public and is it simple to use?
