Thank you for replying. I just wanted to ask what you meant by "i will set up an alert with experian". How are YOU able to do this? Do you mean for me to set one up?

Does anyone know if its worth me going back to the two companies in question (ie Sky Card and Northern Rock) and ask them on what grounds they turned me down? Do they give such information?

I remember when I applied for the Capial One credit card they originally turned me down. Again I had my credit reports checked and again found them to be ok. So I called Capital One and told them and they apologised and said sometimes they get it wrong and that some applications slip through and are refused when they shouldnt be!!! They then issued me with the credit card.
