Hi, thanks for reading any advice would be helpful on the following, my husband came out of work last year and we had to claim benefits as i am disabled, i filled out all the forms and sent them back i also filled out council tax benefit forms and sent them back but the council say they never recieved them and have been sending me bills saying i owe them several hundred pounds, i gave them dates etc but they say because i never followed it up and asked why i had not heard anything i have to pay or ask for them to re-consider their decision, i have since recieved benefit help for this tax year but still have to pay last years, i wrote to them stating that i had sent forms in and also had to ring up three times to request forms for this year but they have refused to reverse their decision again and now do not no how i am going to pay all this, my husband is currently looking for work but not having much joy, i do not like getting benefits but things were beyond our control so please do not think we are sponging has we have always paid our way. Is it worth appealing again or just offer them so much a month? thanks
